Millennium Park Open Shelters

Open Shelter Rentals

$175 per day

Off the main park entrance on Maynard Ave, Millennium Park has two large open picnic shelters available for rent. Each can accommodate up to 140 people. Both are adjacent to the park’s large playground area. Shelter A is closest to the restrooms and sand volleyball court, while Shelter B is closer to the beach entrance.

Both of our Open Shelters are 40’ x 70’ in dimension, have 18 eight-foot picnic tables, two double grills with serving tables, electric service, water, and are barrier-free/accessible. Neither Shelter has access to the beach area. Beach and splashpad passes can be purchased for an additional fee.

Open Shelter A

This Open Shelter is located close to the park entrance. Nearby features include basketball, bocce ball, and volleyball courts, as well as ample fishing opportunities. The nearest playground is a large, all ages play area about 250 feet away. The nearest restroom is 150 feet away and includes barrier-free facilities.

Open Shelter B

Open Shelter B is located closer to the swimming beach and splash pad. There are fishing opportunities nearby. The nearest playground is a large, all ages play area about 250 feet away. The nearest restroom is located in the “A” area, about 200 yards away, and includes barrier-free facilities.

First-Come First-Serve Family Shelter

The park also has a smaller family shelter near the volleyball court and a beach shelter which is within the beach area. Both of these are available on a first-come first served basis only.
