Friends of the Park
Friends of the Park are organized groups of park neighbors and/or park users who work together to support a specific Kent County Park site. Members of a “Friends” group help monitor their park, notify park staff of any issues or concerns, provide input on park support, and may help organize neighbors for an annual habitat support service project. Some Friends groups are even more active, organizing and promoting regular volunteer service days at their park.
We currently have Friends groups at Luton Park, Lepard Nature Preserve, Donald J Lamoreaux Park, and Rogue River Park, but more Friends are needed! If you live near or regularly use a favorite County Park, contact KCP Volunteer Services to learn more about how to organize a “Friends of YOUR Park”!
