Provin Trails Park Invasive Species Workshop & Project!

Learn how to ID and control various invasive species throughout native habitats at Provin Trails Park! This partnership event includes team leaders and volunteers from Friends of Grand Rapids Parks, Kent Conservation District, Kent County Parks Volunteer Services, and the West Michigan Conservation Network who are working together to support natural habitats areas throughout the park. All training, supplies and tools are provided!

NOTE: Projects are not canceled for light rain, but they may be delayed or canceled for heavy rain or weather advisories. Please dress for the weather and pack personal items such as water bottles, insect repellent, etc. We strongly recommend wearing long pants and work shoes or boots to all events. All tools and supplies, including light work gloves, will be provided on site. Waiver forms will be available on site, or groups/organizations may submit a waiver prior to the event date. Any child under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or designated organization leader for the duration of the event. Although leashed pets are welcome at most parks, pets (except for service animals) are not permitted at volunteer events due to safety concerns.
