Annual Rogue River Park Invasive Species Project!

Learn how to ID and control various invasive species that threaten native habitats at Rogue River Park! This partnership event includes team leaders and volunteers from the Kent Conservation District and Kent County Parks Volunteer Services who are working together to support natural areas throughout the park. All training, tools, and supplies are provided! NOTE THAT THE MEET UP SITE FOR THIS EVENT IS AT THE WHITE PINE TRAIL PARKING LOT AT 6250 BELMONT AVE NE BELMONT MI.  A map to the meet up site will be sent to all registrants.

NOTE: Projects are not canceled for light rain, but they may be delayed or canceled for heavy rain or weather advisories. Please dress for the weather and pack personal items such as water bottles, insect repellent, etc. We strongly recommend wearing long pants and work shoes or boots to all events. All tools and supplies, including light work gloves, will be provided on site. Waiver forms will be available on site, or groups/organizations may submit a waiver prior to the event date. Any child under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or designated organization leader for the duration of the event. Although leashed pets are welcome at most parks, pets (except for service animals) are not permitted at volunteer events due to safety concerns.
