At Millennium Park’s Hansen Trail
The Discover! Nature Event at Millennium Park’s Hansen Trails features nature stations, presentations, and giveaways. The event is hosted on the third Saturday of May. If you love adventure and the outdoors, join us for this annual, one-day event!
Learn About
- The birds, mammals, fish, reptiles and amphibians than make the Hansen Nature Trail area their home
- The trees, plants, and wildflowers along the trail
- Unique habitats in the park
- The history, lore, and geology of the area
The Discover! Nature Event runs from 10 am to 2 pm (please arrive no later than 1 pm so that you can enjoy all of the nature trail activity stations) and free parking is available. This free and fun discovery program is sponsored by Kent County Parks and Kent County Parks Foundation, and supported by Master Naturalist docents, KCP volunteers, and community organizations.
Free Discover! tote bags will be handed out at the event Start Station. Activity supplies, a native plant, and other fun nature items (while supplies last) will be given to event visitors as they take the nature trail walk!Questions?
